Tracking Job Referrals with Twilio Phone Numbers

Use Case: Why Use Referral Tracking?

Lever360’s Twilio integration lets you assign referral companies and contacts to specific phone numbers. This helps you:

  • Track marketing campaigns (e.g., Google Ads numbers).

  • Attribute jobs to referral partners (e.g., plumbers, adjusters).

  • Automatically log referral info when creating jobs from calls.

Setting Up Referral Tracking

  1. Go to Settings

    • Navigate to Company Settings → Twilio.

  2. Select a Phone Number

    • You’ll see a list of all Twilio phone lines.

    • Each number shows its assigned internal user.

  3. Assign a Referral Company (Optional Contact)

    • In the Referral Company field, search for and select the company.

    • If applicable, select a Referral Contact associated with that company.

    • Save your changes.

Example:

  • Referral Company: Lever360

  • Referral Contact: Ryan Smith


Tracking Calls and Creating Jobs

  • When a call comes through the assigned phone number:

    • The referral company and contact will be attached to the call record.

    • You can answer directly in-app or forward to another number.

  • To create a job from the call:

    1. Open the call record.

    2. Click Create Job.

    3. Enter job details (e.g., customer, job type).

    4. The referral company/contact will automatically populate on the job.

*Note this can be done live during call in app or post call via the call record

Viewing Call Records

You can always review referral details later in the call logs:

  • Call Log List – view referral company/contact in list format.

    • location: left main menu > Phone system

  • Job Call Log – see calls tied to specific jobs.

    • location: Job Details > communication > call log

  • Details View – click Details on any call to see full info. + recording & transcription
